Is Tinto free?

Tinto is free to download and use. A Premium subscription unlocks additional features for those who want to get the most out of their wine experience.

Which devices does Tinto support?

Tinto is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store. Android support is not available yet.

What can I do with Tinto?

Tinto lets you track your wine cellar, log tasting notes, get serving recommendations, see drinking windows, discover new wines, and connect with other wine lovers.

Features

How do I add wines to my cellar?

Search or scan for a wine from Tinto's database of over 20,000 wines and add it to your cellar with all the details — quantity, vintage, price and purchase date. With a Premium subscription you can also add wines that aren't in Tinto's database.

Can I scan wine labels?

Yes — Tinto includes a label scanner. Just point your camera at a wine label and Tinto will identify the wine and pull up all the details from our database instantly.

Can I keep a wishlist?

Yes — you can save wines to your wishlist so you never forget an interesting wine you want to try or buy.

Can I share wines with friends?

Yes — you can share tasting experiences, photos and wines with the Tinto community, and discover new favorites along the way.

What is a drinking window?

A drinking window tells you when a wine is at its peak — the best period to open the bottle. Tinto shows drinking windows for wines in your cellar so you always know when to enjoy them. This feature requires a Premium subscription.

What is serving temperature?

Yes — Tinto recommends the ideal serving temperature for any wine, so you can enjoy every bottle at its best.

What are notable vintages?

Yes — for popular wine regions and categories, Tinto highlights which vintages are particularly good or ones to avoid.

Are the articles in Tinto written by AI?

No — all articles are written by a sommelier with 15 years of experience. The recommendations are hand-picked, so you can always trust that the content comes from a real human perspective.

Can Tinto help me store my wines properly?

Yes — Tinto's cellar feature helps you keep track of your collection and warns you if a wine is being stored suboptimally. You'll also find articles and tips on wine storage in the Discover section.

Can I log tasting notes?

Yes — Tinto guides you through a structured tasting covering appearance, aroma, flavour and finish. Your notes are saved to your profile so you can look back at every wine you have tasted.
